You are interested in improving outcome of (organic) dairy production by improving animal health status?

Then would kindly like to invite you to the seminar “Animal health in organic dairy farming in Poland“. The seminar will be organized by EkoConnect in cooperation with CDR (Centrum Doradztwa Rolniczego) in Radom within the project IMPRO. The EU funded research project IMPRO deals with the improvement of animal health in organic dairy farming. It started in October 2012 and will last 4 years. It is carried out by a Consortium of 7 partners from 6 European countries, each of them engaged in system oriented approaches to improve animal health at different levels of integration (animal, herd, farm and region).

This seminar should be used to discuss challenges and obstacles in organic dairy farming in Czech Republic, and present important results of the project, such as a decision support tool that could lead to a better understanding of the complexity of interactions between most relevant factors regarding animal health and identify the factors in need for improvement.

The seminar is open to agricultural consultants and veterinarians as well as farming associations, research institutes and interested farmers from Poland. The workshop adresses stakeholders from organic as well as conventional sector, since animal health in important and restrictive factor to production in both agricultural systems.

Seminar will be held in Polish and English language. The programme can be downloaded here.
